SWFAddress
SWFAddress is a small but powerful library that provides deep linking for Flash and Ajax.
Deep linking is about providing access to one particular item on a website using a single URL. For example, I’m giving you a deep link to this Wikipedia article on deep linking. Deep linking allows parts of your site to be bookmarked and also crawled by search engines.
Many Flash sites, however, can’t be deep linked because the content is hidden beneath layers of, er, animated goodness. This library provides you a way to deep link to your Flash content using normal URLs. Just like the rest of the web.
Let’s just sit back and think about how far Flash has come, shall we? I mean, wow! Bookmarkable pages are possible in Flash! No wonder Merlin made fun of her.
